Unfortunately, even though the workaround I used makes the setlist page pretty clear about who is playing what song, the Philip Glass artist statistics now imply that he has performed all twenty of his etudes, while in reality he has admitted in interviews he has only learned how to play twelve.
Beyond classical shows, however, I highly agree with David M. that this modification is necessary to bring the jazz database functionality of the site up to par. Like his example of a concert with Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter...who's even the bigger name there?
Although it may be somewhat difficult to implement, this is the feature I believe setlist.fm needs the most. For example, I recently added a setlist for this Philip Glass concert:
