Automatic correction for tour name
Before saving the new setlist one creates, there should be a correction on the naming of the tour, in order to avoid having different tours just because a letter is not capitalzed
i.e. Franz Ferdinand have the following tours listed: “Tonight (4 sets)“, “Tonight: (1)“, “Tonight: Franz Ferdinand (14)“, and “Live Tonight: Franz Ferdinand (14)“.

Problems with Last.fm Import Feature
There are massive problems with the Last.fm import feature. I would like to suggest that the feature be modified to correct these problems. If it is not possible for the problems to be corrected, then I suggest removing the Last.fm import feature from the site. In my opinion, the current version of this feature is causing too many headaches to justify its existence. Here is a list of problems:
(1) It adds duplicate setlists. Even if a setlist already exists, the Last.fm import feature will still add a new setlist, thereby creating a duplicate. This creates lots of extra work…

Better description for festival shows
Since we're in the festival period I has this idea to deal with festival shows.
I thought about adding a Festival tickbox to the add setlist page.
In the venue field you'd add the festival's location.
Then you check the tickbox to notify that the show is part of the festival.
This diplays 2 fields, first one with festival name which could be automatically filled with the name of the festival (linked with the venue).
And the second field would be the stage the band played on.Here's an exemple :
Venue : Festivalpark, Werchter, Belgium
Festival ? YES

Mandatory Autocorrection for Anonymous Users
Pretty simple really. Anyone that is not signed in cannot uncheck the "Use setlist.fm's autocorrection..." checkbox. In other words, the autocorrection feature is mandatory unless you have an account on the site.
You might also consider removing the "Revert" link on the Autocorrections/Warnings page for anyone that isn't signed in. But I'm not sure if this is really necessary.
I see many anonymous users making simple spelling/capitalization mistakes that should be fixed by autocorrection. However, since the mistakes are not being fixed, I can only assume that they are unchecking the autocorrection checkbox. I have no idea why they would…

fix artist import. or delete musicbrainz from the situation and let people add artists freely
i hate musicbrainz. that site never works. or the import on this site doesnt work. ill blame them before you.
3 votesThe artist import is much faster now – please be sure to add at least one release on musicbrainz when adding a new artist. For problems concerning the artist import, please take a look at this thread in the support forum: http://www.setlist.fm/forum/setlistfm/website-support/cant-add-artist-or-venue-3d6bd5b

Support all latin characters for wider language support
(original title "Support UTF-8 instead of the Latin-1 charset")
I wrote about it already, yeah, but I described it just as Polish characters, whereas it's a global problem of international bands, so this could (possibly) get more votes. Changing the charset is a necessity for bands outside the countries listed here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latin-1#Coverage
I realise this is quite a big thing to do, but it would really help bands outside the "major" countries.32 votesnow supporting all latin characters. if you need additional characters, please contact us in our forum – http://www.setlist.fm/forum/setlistfm/website-support – or create a new idea if you’d like additional alphabets (cyrillic anyone?). We’d prefer transliterations though.

Problem with venues
I have troubles adding a new setlist.
When I add the artist or venue name I get no automatic propositions.
And when I submit the setlist I get this message for the venue field.Could not locate error message for component: VenueAutocompleteFormComponentPanel@border:leftColumn:body:editPanel:container:editBox:editForm:locationBorder:body:locationSelect and error: [ValidationError message=[null], keys=[unknown, PersistentObjectAutocompletePanel$1], variables=[]]. Tried keys: locationSelect.unknown, unknown, locationSelect.PersistentObjectAutocompletePanel$1, PersistentObjectAutocompletePanel$1.

adding setlists for DJs
currently you can only really add setlists for bands. I can't find anywhere online that you can list the setlists of what DJs played. I know mainly DJs play other people's music, but the framework you have here could easily be adapted to list that, in the same way you can list a @Cover or something now

Possible fake band
Do a background check on this band supposedly called "Fade to Black." A Google search yields only their setlist.fm page and many irrelevant links.

Cannot add a setlist by The Fall
When I try to add a setlist by The Fall, setlist.fm suggests a number of artists but not The Fall. Despite The Fall being setup on the website already, and there being several setlists by them.
Instead I have to create the setlist via the "Last2Setlist" function via last.fm, which isn't ideal. Could this be fixed please? Thanks

Be able to add intros without them being counted as songs
At many concerts that I've been to this scenario happens: Lights dim so crowd knows show it going to start, Intro music starts playing, when intro song is done band comes out. I've seen Oh Canada being played before a Black Label Society show, the Star Trek Theme before a 3 Inches of Blood show etc. I don't think that they deserve a numbered spot on the set list because the band isn't playing them, but I do think they should be mentioned. These aren't the songs being played before the lights dim though.

Google Maps - with venues of artist's shows
Added venues can be marked on Google Maps
Why?
To see in which country / venues f.ex. U2 plays
or...
To create global map for performances of band
or..
To compare markers for different tours / artists14 votesthis has been implemented a while ago, see http://www.setlist.fm/stats/concert-map/u2-23d6b80f.html for instance
Please add another idea if you like to have more than the Concert Map as it is right now.

Search results for artists
Look at http://www.setlist.fm/search?query=coma - Coma search results... Coma.. coma.. coma .. coma.. Box "Artist results" should be like on musicbrainz.org - with more details, f.ex.:
Coma (Poland—rock)
Coma (Romania—nü metal)
etc.It causes mistakes f.ex. look at two artists profiles - U2

Drop "Canada"
Why does Canada have to be written with al the Canadian dates? I doj't see USA beside the American dates. I tried to fix this, but someone went in and put it back to the way it was. It looks unprofessional.
1 votenow states are added to some countries (such as the USA and Canada) and the country’s always displayed. please read the venue section of the updated guidelines and the current blogpost http://blog.setlist.fm/2009/09/new-features-on-setlistfm.html
