# of songs per albums played statistic
I'd like to be able see for every single show how many songs are played by album of the band.
It would probably be hard to do since we'd have to tag every song with the album it belongs to.
But I thought it could be a good idea.Hope you got what I meant to say. :P

Be able to add intros without them being counted as songs
At many concerts that I've been to this scenario happens: Lights dim so crowd knows show it going to start, Intro music starts playing, when intro song is done band comes out. I've seen Oh Canada being played before a Black Label Society show, the Star Trek Theme before a 3 Inches of Blood show etc. I don't think that they deserve a numbered spot on the set list because the band isn't playing them, but I do think they should be mentioned. These aren't the songs being played before the lights dim though.

Create average setlist for a tour
Calculating how often songs are played and their position in the setlist, an average setlist for the tour would be created.
I saw something like this being done during Radiohead's In Rainbows tour and I thought it was an interesting idea. I have no idea how hard to code this would be but it would be nice if we could.

Support all latin characters for wider language support
(original title "Support UTF-8 instead of the Latin-1 charset")
I wrote about it already, yeah, but I described it just as Polish characters, whereas it's a global problem of international bands, so this could (possibly) get more votes. Changing the charset is a necessity for bands outside the countries listed here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latin-1#Coverage
I realise this is quite a big thing to do, but it would really help bands outside the "major" countries.32 votesnow supporting all latin characters. if you need additional characters, please contact us in our forum – http://www.setlist.fm/forum/setlistfm/website-support – or create a new idea if you’d like additional alphabets (cyrillic anyone?). We’d prefer transliterations though.

Better description for festival shows
Since we're in the festival period I has this idea to deal with festival shows.
I thought about adding a Festival tickbox to the add setlist page.
In the venue field you'd add the festival's location.
Then you check the tickbox to notify that the show is part of the festival.
This diplays 2 fields, first one with festival name which could be automatically filled with the name of the festival (linked with the venue).
And the second field would be the stage the band played on.Here's an exemple :
Venue : Festivalpark, Werchter, Belgium
Festival ? YES

add a forum
We are currently wondering, if you guys would be interested in getting an old school forum (or message board, bulletin board, discussion board or whatever you name it). Just vote on this idea or comment to raise your concerns.

Google Maps - with venues of artist's shows
Added venues can be marked on Google Maps
Why?
To see in which country / venues f.ex. U2 plays
or...
To create global map for performances of band
or..
To compare markers for different tours / artists14 votesthis has been implemented a while ago, see http://www.setlist.fm/stats/concert-map/u2-23d6b80f.html for instance
Please add another idea if you like to have more than the Concert Map as it is right now.

Process for reporting malicious edits and/or banning people
Maybe there is already a process for reporting malicious edits, and banning the people who make such edits. But if there is a process I am not aware of it.
Here is an example of some malicious edits made by someone called "nic":

What is the strategy for dealing with festivals?
There should be a way to group all concerts from a specific festival together.

formalise a capitalisation standard, or at least ignore capitalisation for statistics
It's getting very tedious seeing people edit setlists backwards and forwards for capitalisation changes, mostly between MusicBrainz style ("This Is the Best") to capitalising all words ("This Is The Best").
I would vote for the MusicBrainz style as this would presumably help with other integration (Last.fm has cited MusicBrainz as their preferred source for years), but any formal standard would be better than the current setup.

treat song snippets as separate songs?
sometimes artists start with a song (often covers) and then make a transition into an other song. For example Radiohead start with R.E.M.'s 'The One I Love' and then go into "Everything In It's Right Place". Another example is John Frusciante who starts Cat Stevens's "Hard Headed Woman" before going into "Scar Tissue". A similar (however slightly different) case is if artists just sing a few lines of a song without any transition at all (e.g. Michael Stipe of R.E.M. often sings the first lines of C.C.R.'s 'who'll stop the rain' if it's raining). So the question is: how should…

Problems with Last.fm Import Feature
There are massive problems with the Last.fm import feature. I would like to suggest that the feature be modified to correct these problems. If it is not possible for the problems to be corrected, then I suggest removing the Last.fm import feature from the site. In my opinion, the current version of this feature is causing too many headaches to justify its existence. Here is a list of problems:
(1) It adds duplicate setlists. Even if a setlist already exists, the Last.fm import feature will still add a new setlist, thereby creating a duplicate. This creates lots of extra work…

How to name the venue?
i think it is useful to discuss the name of the venues.
there are different names for one venue, for example:
the olympic stadium in munich:Olympiastadion, München, Germany
Olympiastadion, Munich, Germanythe first is the german version (except germany), the second uses the english name of munich.
what do you think?
should the venues be named by there local names or should we use the english name?Another point is the United kingdom. should there be used united kingdom as the country or use the origin country names like england, ireland?

Support bands
Would be cool to list support bands at each gig. Though obviously it would be too hard and complex to add setlists for them it would be nice to at least see who was there!

update the venue name to include provinces/states from non-US places.
I am offended I cannot include my province in venue titles.

Small issues with autocorrection feature
I've noticed a few small problems with the autocorrection feature.
(1) It doesn't change the word "and" to an ampersand "&". For example, the Metallica song "Seek and Destroy" is not autocorrected to "Seek & Destroy".
(2) Sometimes it makes autocorrections that aren't right. For example, it always changes the Dream Theater song "A Change of Seasons: I The Crimson Sunrise" to "A Change of Seasons: VII The Crimson Sunset".
I understand that any autocorrection feature will always have little problems like this. But I just wanted to document these issues in case the autocorrection feature is ever updated.
