For me two songs together are not a medley... what do you think?
For me a medley is when a band play a part of a song, then another part of a different song, then another one. But when a complete song is played and is connected in its end with the beginning of a whole new one should be reported as two songs, not as a medley. What do you think?
We added some guildines, see http://www.setlist.fm/guidelines “Snippets” and “Medleys”

Is it still a medley if the entire songs are performed, they just segue into each other or do the songs have to be incomplete in order to qualify as a medley. That's what confuses me.

we really try not to introduce another tag - as there are already some tags out there and additional tags don't make it easier to add and edit setlists. as a compromise we could add it to the guidelines, where you could then reference to whenever you got mails. or do you have another option that goes without a new tag?

I have seen it a lot. Now I learn that´s called "smooth transition", thank you very much.
Maybe a tag Smooth Transition should be useful.
But, It´s annoying to have to change that in a lot of setlits. Also, I receive message in spanish with Cafe Tacvba fans, becouse I was changing it, but I prefer to coment it here, before start a discussion with them.

I agree. If the complete song is played, but just has a smooth transition into the next song, that's not a medley.

Yepp. But I'm wondering why you're asking, did you see songs that had a smooth transition added as medley?
... but maybe we're both wrong. What do the others think? :-)
