Setlist.fm Features

Categories

  1. Please add an entry field where one can optionally add the band members for a tour or a specific gig (incl. which instruments they played). That way it's easier to remember in which constellation or line-up you've seen a band, and you can also see if it was the band in standard mode or if certain session musicians joined the band...

  2. We use you guys all the time to reference that the strings we're given match up with the dates etc. We make jewellery from artists played guitar strings and it'd be great to maybe put in the set list from that show, or something along those lines.

  3. Would it be possible to add a suggest link button next to the artists links?

I think there should be a comprehensive list of official and unofficial links, as there are a lot of sites that cater for bands and never get plugged.

  4. I tried to sum up all of the suggestions around the tour problem so here's the suggestion.

A tour section should be added where you could create or modify a tour.

Tour info would not be added when you add a new setlist but be defined by a range of dates.

    eg. "Tour #1 from 08-10-2008 to 12-12-2008"
or "Tour #2 from 01-01-2009 to 02-02-09 and continues from 03-03-2009 to 04-04-2009" (this would allow a break in the tour to support another band for exemple)

We could also add legs for each tour which would be interesting to separate for…

  5. The database only allows you to view the average setlist feature for an artist based only on the tour or year. We should be able to see an average setlist for all the tours all throughout the years. It shouldn't be difficult because the average setlist feature works on Bob Dylan's Never Ending Tour which averages setlist ranging from 1989 to the present.

  6. It would be good if you could add yourself to a gig from the search results without having to click through to the page. I'm adding a lot of gigs at a time and its kind of a pain to have to click through every time.

  11. I would love the option to export or have an RSS feed to your profile to show the concerts someone has attended or will be attending. It would promote activity to view setlists and concerts on external websites to embed (not embed setlists).

  13. Several shows I've attended have had special guests come and join the band for a cover song. We really need the ability to document this in the setlists.

    For example:
Deer Tick covering Helpless by Niel Young with Lucius & Jim James.

    Helpless @Cover[Niel Young] @With[Lucius] @With[Jim James]

    or something...

  16. Could the data not be organized in a way to filter out what you aren't looking for to drill down to a manageable list? ie. looking for a given artist in a given city or venue but don't know the year

  17. This would probably require a redesign of the UI when adding songs, but I think it could save people a lot of time. Just like on iGoogle it would return a list of the artists songs, which could be pulled from other apps via the API for example iTunes or Last.fm. I think this could improve the site a lot, and make it more user friendly.

    Reguards,
    Kieran

  18. I would love if there was an alternate way to view an artists' setlist which gave them as a list as opposed to the large bloated way they are shown now.

Something with a date column following the YYYY-MM-DD format would be great. I am primarily interested in working on the Amanda Palmer/Dresden Dolls setlists and I have information from so many shows that it will take forever and aside from searching for each individual show, there's no way to just see them all (unless I'm missing it).

  20. You often see more. Than act at one concert, headline and support and these presently show up as separate concerts.wood be great to hook them up more effectively
