Setlist.fm Features

  1. Many shows on a tour feature the same set list, or additional shows are added. It would be great to simply duplicate shows without having to create a new entry manually.

  2. It could be useful if there was a tickbox you could check after editing a setlist to precise if the setlist you added is the right one or if there could be some mistakes.

That would be something like this.

Complete setlist ? Yes or No
Right order ? Yes or No
    How sure are you ? 100% sure / 90%...

And incomplete setlists would appear with when you browse the shows, for exemple :

Foals at Heaven, London, England INCOMPLETE (in small and red letters :P)

We gotta have it. I'm kind of bored to have to write an…

  4. User can nominate favourite artist/s in their profile and receive email alert any time a new setlist for that artist is created. This would be a great way for fans to track which songs their fave artists are currently playing, or take a trip down memory lane! One stop shop, rather than trawling individual artist sites/forums. Handy for the ultra-keen but time-poor fans who can't keep on top of which of their fave artists may be currently touring internationally... I would LOVE this feature and an email would prompt me to visit probably everyday, with my pre-set search criteria saved!

  5. Currently shows that are listed under festivals don't get counted towards venues in the statistics page. It would be nice if the festival shows would be counted the same as a regular show.

  6. in the stats when you see a show and there are more than one band at it (opener and main band or multi-band event) it then adds them up as separate concerts to your total number. It would be nice to have a way to indicate they are the same concert, so the # of concerts remains true even though you get to post individual band set lists from the same concert. thank you!

  7. I think a checkbox by songs after you've clicked attended could be a good idea. For example, when I only see a band play half a set at a festival I don't add it to my profile as I didn't see all the songs. this could be a good way around that - we could untick songs we missed.

  11. You still add @cover behind the song but now the album stats can be correct and you'll have more information about the specific cover as well as information about the original song and everyting like the way it was.

Below this tekst I put an example of an information page of a cover song, in this example: Always on my mind covered by Pet Shop Boys.

Always on My Mind by Pet Shop Boys

    Facts

Total Plays by Pet Shop Boys

    234 times

    From the release

    Introspective (Album)

First Played in Concert by Pet Shop Boys
    Hong Kong Coliseum, Hong…

  12. Adding an @version tag, so that different versions of songs are listed under one name, but on the artist page are clickable so that people can see which version was played at a certain show. For example:

Incubus played their hit Drive in several forms: acoustic, a bass-driven remix, electric, piano-driven etc. If you would add it to a setlist with @version[bass remix] it would show up in the artist page as 'Drive', thus giving the songs the number of plays it deserves, instead of splitting it up or lumping it onto one pile. On the artist page, when clicked…

  13. Would be nice to provide a syndication feed for artists. This way we can follow the tour, and be warned when a new setlist is posted.

  14. This would cover all solos, unknown instrumentals played. On song statistics it should come up as Instrumental, or maybe not come up at all, but in setlists it should come up as whatever you type following the @Instrumental.

    e.g. @Instrumental[Edward Van Halen Guitar Solo] , @Instrumental[Funk Jam]

  15. It would be great to see the duration of the show on the setlist page to get an idea of how long the artist is usually playing on each concert or the what they might play on a festival where they have less time than usual

  16. Festival Sets are often different from Regular Tour setlists. Ability to filter and separate these.

  17. I think we should consider restricting changes to artists, venues and dates. While there are some valid usecases for changing one of these attributes, changing more normally indicates a different gig, hence a new setlist.

    • Other date, other venue? Most likely another concert
    • Other artist, oder venue? Certainly another concert
    • Other date, other artist? Again, probably a different gig

Even changing one property could be restricted:

    • Other date? Probably postponed or simply entered wrong. There's rarley a reason to change it by more than a few days though.
    • Other aritst? Well, only makes sense for things like Dave Matthews Band…

  20. A great improvement would be for the original author of an edit or revert to have the ability to delete his/her edit or revert. In cases where an author doesn't enter the correct info the first time it would be better if the original author of the edit or revert can delete that edit or revert entry. In cases where the edit or revert is irrelevant this will tidy up the setlist page to only the relevant information.
