  2. Attended Concert List Needs To Be Sortable (more descriptive)

Display Attended Concert List in data grid, like excel, with sorting on each column, based on date, artist or venue.

Make the main listing column wider and add column to display:
Date, Artist, w/ opening artist, Venue, City.

Add Additional Notes below for shows like Lollapalooza where 5 or 6 acts were present as opposed to listing them as additional concerts

  3. Enable a way to see songs play count trends

For example - in 2010 songs A & B were played 10 out of 20 times each - but B was played in the last 10 concerts, while A was in the first 10 of the query period.
it could be implemented using some kind of discrete derivation.
You can, instead of just taking a counter of the number of plays - do a weighted sum - for example, playing a song in the last concert would worth 2 points, song that was played in the one before it worth 1, 0.5 and so on (such that the sum of…

  4. Additional song info

Might be a nice idea to have an enhanced setlist that offers the songs album, release date/year etc. Maybe it could list the info next to or under the song, or when clicking/hovering on a song, or even on a separate page. All could be done automatically by database of course, so no additional info needed from the editor.

  6. Show that you only saw certain songs

I think a checkbox by songs after you've clicked attended could be a good idea. For example, when I only see a band play half a set at a festival I don't add it to my profile as I didn't see all the songs. this could be a good way around that - we could untick songs we missed.

  8. Venues that change Names grouped together

Venues Change Names over the years due to new ownership, Sponcers, Remodels, etc... it would be nice to be able to group them together in stats since they are the same place! But keep the name of venue on the ticket at time of show on concert for archive purposes!

  9. Improve security and enable https

Passwords have to be between 6 and 15 characters - this is bad practice!
Traffic does not route via a secure, encrypted https connection but instead via a insecure and sniffable http connection - als very bad practice!

  10. Add a compare feature?

thought this could be an interesting idea for comparing setlists from a band you saw a few years ago to their setlist on their current tour or something, or comparing a show's setlist you saw with more current shows to see how they compare.. i dunno.

  12. How to name demo/early versions of songs named differently than the final versions?

Well, for example, Pink Floyd's "Atom Heart Mother". It was performed numerous times before the album's release, it was then named "The Amazing Pudding". Should we put "The Amazing Pudding" in the setlist or should it be "Atom Heart Mother"?

if it’s the same song, it should be the same songname – with generally is how it’s named on the album. please read the comments in this thread for clarification

  13. Have a way for us too see what the longest setlist a band has ever played is.

I think that if like you went to the artist statistics and on it you could give a link the longest show they've ever played or shows that are tied and have the same amount as the biggest one.

  14. Change how covers are handled

You still add @cover behind the song but now the album stats can be correct and you'll have more information about the specific cover as well as information about the original song and everyting like the way it was.

Below this tekst I put an example of an information page of a cover song, in this example: Always on my mind covered by Pet Shop Boys.

Always on My Mind by Pet Shop Boys

    Facts

Total Plays by Pet Shop Boys

    234 times

    From the release

    Introspective (Album)

First Played in Concert by Pet Shop Boys
    Hong Kong Coliseum, Hong…

  15. Email Alerts

User can nominate favourite artist/s in their profile and receive email alert any time a new setlist for that artist is created. This would be a great way for fans to track which songs their fave artists are currently playing, or take a trip down memory lane! One stop shop, rather than trawling individual artist sites/forums. Handy for the ultra-keen but time-poor fans who can't keep on top of which of their fave artists may be currently touring internationally... I would LOVE this feature and an email would prompt me to visit probably everyday, with my pre-set search criteria saved!

  16. New attributes: Length, delay

I know that simplicity is the best feature for a site. But could you consider adding some more information to the concerts? Like duration of the concert/encore. The delay from the begining. These attributes could be used to calculate an average duration of a concert of an artist in the year, etc.

  17. add option to show a map that contains all venues and festivals a user has been to

It would be awesome to see how much I travelled the world to see my favourite bands.

  18. Make festival locations populate venue statistics

Currently shows that are listed under festivals don't get counted towards venues in the statistics page. It would be nice if the festival shows would be counted the same as a regular show.

  20. @Version tag

Adding an @version tag, so that different versions of songs are listed under one name, but on the artist page are clickable so that people can see which version was played at a certain show. For example:

Incubus played their hit Drive in several forms: acoustic, a bass-driven remix, electric, piano-driven etc. If you would add it to a setlist with @version[bass remix] it would show up in the artist page as 'Drive', thus giving the songs the number of plays it deserves, instead of splitting it up or lumping it onto one pile. On the artist page, when clicked…
