I suggest you ...

Allow picture uploads for any given concert.

It would be cool to be able to allow people to upload their own pictures from the concert so that others can see them and remember the show. I would say make the page similar to any "facebook" like photo album and have a dedicated tab for it on the setlist page for any given show.

How about allowing people to share links to personal Google Photo albums of the concerts?

The more I've thought about this, the more I like the idea of the previous comment. Upload the photos elsewhere and use machine tags to put them in a special section on setlist.fm

Google+ is a very good option over Flikr since it's FREE! (it's essentially Picassa)

I'd say that if you don't have the resources to build your own image hosting server, then link to public facebook albums. That would probably be the best way.

Just curious, could you even piggy-back off face-book somehow in order to create a photo album per show? That might be kind of hack-ish as well but just a thought. I have seen many others do it.

I would say you could start like that but I would try to get the resources if you want the site to become a more valuable respected website on the net. Doesn't Google give money to companies (or individuals) that are doing cool projects like this and need support to get things going? Also, when you say resources, do you mean man-power or lack of hardware / server space?

@jubano we simply don't have the resources to build our own image hosting service. but would it be acceptable for you if you could upload your images directly from setlist.fm to setlist.fm's flickr account for instance?

Linking to flickr is a poor idea anyways. You should just allow photo uploads from users to directly store the photos on the setlist.fm servers and have them be community managed in case someone uploads invalid or improper photos (e.g. nudity). That is the only way I can see this working well. Linking to some other service is a hack and nobody likes to be directed away from the site they are currently on (including myself)
