I suggest you ...

@Version tag

Adding an @version tag, so that different versions of songs are listed under one name, but on the artist page are clickable so that people can see which version was played at a certain show. For example:

Incubus played their hit Drive in several forms: acoustic, a bass-driven remix, electric, piano-driven etc. If you would add it to a setlist with @version[bass remix] it would show up in the artist page as 'Drive', thus giving the songs the number of plays it deserves, instead of splitting it up or lumping it onto one pile. On the artist page, when clicked on Drive, the setlists where Drive was played show up and the different versions are listed horizontally under the setlists. The user can click the version, in this case the Bass-remix, and then it only shows the setlists where the bass-remix of drive was played.

Advantages:
- Songs are only listed under one name
- thus get the right amount of plays
- there is less wrong spellings in the song-list
- people can see different versions of a song easily

Hope this was clear enough.
