  2. It would be nice to list covers on the original artist page so we could see what other band is performing his songs.

  3. Imagine the following scenario. Artist "ABC" has 2 setlists already on setlist.fm. The dates are January 12, 2011 and January 16, 2011. Both of these setlists have "XYZ Tour" in the tour field. Now let's say I add a new setlist for artist "ABC" with the date of January 14, 2011 but I leave the tour field blank. Since the 1/12 and 1/16 setlists are part of "XYZ Tour", it's a good assumption that the 1/14 setlist is also part of "XYZ Tour". So after I click the "Submit" button, setlist.fm could bring up a new page suggesting that the…

  4. Before saving the new setlist one creates, there should be a correction on the naming of the tour, in order to avoid having different tours just because a letter is not capitalzed

i.e. Franz Ferdinand have the following tours listed: “Tonight (4 sets)“, “Tonight: (1)“, “Tonight: Franz Ferdinand (14)“, and “Live Tonight: Franz Ferdinand (14)“.

  5. it would nice to have a link on the setlist-website to add a new setlist for this artist. when you click on it you get the normal "add setlist"-form with the artist name in the box.

if you're inserting setlists for a whole tour of one artist it is a little bit annoying to insert the artist name and select it from the drop-down-box.

  6. Artist import is still broken. I cannot add f.ex. Rammstein or Polish artist. What is going on?

  7. i am not sure, when i can delete setlists, because, maybe the user made a mistake with the date or meant a different artist.

i have found two setlists for concerts which where not played on this date:

    http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/elvis-presley/2008/na-1bd681e0.html

the elvis concert in 2007 is my favourite... the king is still alive :-)

    http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/acdc/2008/athens-greece-13d6dde9.html

ac/dc didn't played a concert in athens, greece with new songs in april 2008 and i didn't found a "snake tour" of ac/dc

are there any rules or hints, when i can delete such setlists?

  9. A few things that become evident as the volume of information available increases.

    1) If I perform a search for a particular artist or lists the artists that I have seen during a particular 12 month period then the site displays 10 items per page. I think it would be nicer to see the information displayed in a more compact format (maybe tabular format) with a smaller font, and an icon indicating whether there was a setlist added or not.

the font size and especially the icon showing the date seem too large.

    2) If I edit an item on…

  10. Do a background check on this band supposedly called "Fade to Black." A Google search yields only their setlist.fm page and many irrelevant links.

  11. I think when we are adding setlists, the Year combobox should starts with the newest years, instead of the oldest ones. Most of the shows that we add ocurred in the latest years.

  12. currently you can only really add setlists for bands. I can't find anywhere online that you can list the setlists of what DJs played. I know mainly DJs play other people's music, but the framework you have here could easily be adapted to list that, in the same way you can list a @Cover or something now

  14. Can anyone else confirm that e-mail notifications stopped working?

The last notification I received was at 9:30 AM (US Eastern Time) on July 12.

I tried changing my e-mail address, thinking that maybe the setlist.fm server got blacklisted by my e-mail provider (GMail), but that doesn't seem to have helped.

  15. Pretty simple really. Anyone that is not signed in cannot uncheck the "Use setlist.fm's autocorrection..." checkbox. In other words, the autocorrection feature is mandatory unless you have an account on the site.

You might also consider removing the "Revert" link on the Autocorrections/Warnings page for anyone that isn't signed in. But I'm not sure if this is really necessary.

I see many anonymous users making simple spelling/capitalization mistakes that should be fixed by autocorrection. However, since the mistakes are not being fixed, I can only assume that they are unchecking the autocorrection checkbox. I have no idea why they would…

  19. Have been trying and failing to add a setlist this morning. Nothing happens when I click "Submit" or "Preview" at end. Setlist is Jarvis Cocker, Rock City, 14 June 2009. Thanks

  20. Back in their early days, Metallica played a cover song called "Let It Loose" which was written by an obscure NWOBHM band called Savage. If I try to add @Cover[Savage] it always returns an error saying Unknown Artist.

Now, if I go to add a setlist and type in Savage, I get 4 results:

Savage (Italian disco artist Robert Zanetti)
    Savage (NZ hip hop MC)
    Savage (heavy metal)
Savage (French house music producer Geraud Lafarge)

Obviously I want the heavy metal one. I tried adding @Cover[Savage (heavy metal)] but that didn't work either.

Is there a way to add @Cover…
