  1. allow users to friend other users directly, and not through facebook or last.fm

    the friending system is currently difficult and only allows you to see your friends on your profile via facebook. I have friends using twitter, last.fm etc but not facebook. I know their usernames and it would make it easier if friends could be added directly on the site, without both parties having their profiles connected to facebook

    Without a date and band it’s hard to tell. Anyway, setlist.fm is a collaborative community effort. This means we don’t publish all the setlists ourselves. Our users do! Simply click “Add Setlist” on the top right of every page to add a setlist yourself.

    Hi Steph,

    as you didn’t include the show, I obviously can’t help. However, setlist.fm is a collaborative community effort. That means that anybody is free to edit setlists if they are missing, incomplete or wrong. Simply click “Edit Setlist” on a setlist page or “Add Setlist” at the top if you want to add a new one.

  10. Autocorrection sucks, because even if I try to write in the original name, it doesn't work (maybe because the system has not enough data)

    Autocorrection sucks, because even if I try to write in the original name, it doesn't work (maybe because the system has not enough data)...
    So for example:
    The cover Band Me First And The Gimme Gimmes, do have a Japanese Song, called "Hero". The original Band, the "Kai Band" seems to be missing in the system. So even if I try to write it correct, the autocorrection will remove my correct version. So how can you put missing data in your system? How can it be verified?

  13. check the sign in... I´ve been trying via facebook, via google, and straight through registering. No success. Mac + Safari here, problems?

    Well, I just summed it up--thought that was the space for it. Let me just explain further that I am using Mac + Safari, but I also tried Firefox and Chrome, they did not work either... Otherwise, terrific page!

  15. Cannot edit existing setlists or create setlists

    Since December 13th, I have not been able to edit existing setlists or create new setlists. Days before that I was able to edit/create setlists with no problem at all. Now each time I attempt to edit/create a setlist I get a message saying "You are not allowed to edit this setlist". My account on setlist fm is monster17. I've tried using different computers, my iPod, and I even created another account to see if that was the problem. I still got the same message on all those things. It's very frustrating because I thought the problem would've been fixed…

    I initially created a new account by signing in with facebook. Then, I decided to remove my account's tie to facebook. Now I can no longer log in. I have reset my password twice and I my password is not accepted,

  17. enable me edit a setlist

    i have been trying to clean up a specific setlist for 12 hours, but am not allowed, as the person who has done most of the work seems to have it locked somehow...i keep getting the response ' so and so was editing the setlist' and my changes never get through.

    Now what? Wheres a link to the venue? How can I add aliases, descriptions, artists, stages? Come on, I hope this site was created yesterday. Its in serious need of improvement

  19. Artists with multiple names

    I searched for Chemical Bros, and nothing came up. "The Chemical Brothers" shouldn't be the only way to find that band. You should be able to add aliases for bands - especially bands that have abbreviations or possible abbreviations in their name

    That’s already possible. Just add an alias to musicbrainz.org and it’ll show up on setlist.fm after some weeks. See it working by search for “Fab Four” or “The Boss”. You’ll get setlists by “The Beatles” and “Bruce Springsteen”. However it seems strange to me that nobody added “Chemical Bros” as alias …
