  1. Awesome site. But for older bands it is hard to go through a lot of their concerst because they are all on different pages. I wanted to find a typical Pink Floyd Setlist from the mid 70s, and I have to scroll through like 20 pages of concerts from the 80s, then 20 from the 90s. I'd like to be able to just pick "page 35" without having to go through pages 1-34.

  3. Ever since I went to my first gig in 1978 I have collected the concert ticket. Now it's a hobby and some tickets (like collecting postage stamps) are becoming quite sought after and valuable.

How about having a small area set aside for store a scan of the concert ticket.

  4. The one thing that I would add to improve the effectiveness of your website is some sort of linking or mini-info about songs beside them when they are listed on a setlist from a show. Often people will go to a setlist and find songs that they do not know or covers that are not from a band or artist's repertoire. So, something like a YouTube video of the band playing the song, a link to buy it on iTunes, or even just an icon showing the album that the song is from, beside EACH song would be widely appreciated,…

  5. I would like us to have the option to do setlists statics for only a few years, or a few tours.

For example, a band that has been around since the 80's, I wanna be able to see statics for only the last 5 years, or just the tours they did during the 80's and so on....

  6. It could be useful if there was a tickbox you could check after editing a setlist to precise if the setlist you added is the right one or if there could be some mistakes.

That would be something like this.

Complete setlist ? Yes or No
Right order ? Yes or No
    How sure are you ? 100% sure / 90%...

And incomplete setlists would appear with when you browse the shows, for exemple :

Foals at Heaven, London, England INCOMPLETE (in small and red letters :P)

We gotta have it. I'm kind of bored to have to write an…

  9. This year I've been attending 2 show with 2 bands on stage.

    Hint vs Ez3kiel
Those made an album together so I could add "Ez3kiel vs Hint" as a new artist. But IMO it would be better if we could add a show with 2 artists. This way, the song played would appear in both bands stats. Also, you could find the show while looking for any of those bands.

    Air & Hot Rats
Those did not have a record in common. So I can't add Air & Hot Rats as a new artist... All I can do is add…

  10. For example - in 2010 songs A & B were played 10 out of 20 times each - but B was played in the last 10 concerts, while A was in the first 10 of the query period.
it could be implemented using some kind of discrete derivation.
You can, instead of just taking a counter of the number of plays - do a weighted sum - for example, playing a song in the last concert would worth 2 points, song that was played in the one before it worth 1, 0.5 and so on (such that the sum of…

  11. you can only query using a whole year or a tour name... sometimes it's not enough - you want to see the current band trend

  12. eg. Stylo@With[Bobby Womack]&With[Mos Def] or something like that

This would be very useful for Gorillaz concerts etc. where more than one guest artist appears per song

  13. It would be cool to be able to allow people to upload their own pictures from the concert so that others can see them and remember the show. I would say make the page similar to any "facebook" like photo album and have a dedicated tab for it on the setlist page for any given show.

  15. I tried to sum up all of the suggestions around the tour problem so here's the suggestion.

A tour section should be added where you could create or modify a tour.

Tour info would not be added when you add a new setlist but be defined by a range of dates.

    eg. "Tour #1 from 08-10-2008 to 12-12-2008"
or "Tour #2 from 01-01-2009 to 02-02-09 and continues from 03-03-2009 to 04-04-2009" (this would allow a break in the tour to support another band for exemple)

We could also add legs for each tour which would be interesting to separate for…

  16. I've just put a set list up. for one song you have automatically put up some random video that has nothing to do with the band or the song. Also you have duplicated the video for one song for another in the set list.

Perhaps people could put the videos in themselves if they can provide a link for them eg.. from the bands official youtube channel. it'd make a lot more sense than your automatic tool messing it up

  17. It'd be great if setlists created on songkick.com could be added using the setlist.fm functionality, and be simultaneously added to setlist.fm. And vice versa (setlists added to songkick.com when created in setlist.fm).

    songkick.com aren't averse to the idea - see http://bit.ly/3JW3ki

  18. I googled a band I like & your site appeared high in the results, offering a link to this band's set lists, covers & more! But clicking it opened a page with no set lists, no info, ZERO content—totally empty except for the band's name up top in plain text (not even a frigging logo!) plus one lonely link (Band Lyrics) which opened some unrelated all-German site. I now suspect your site of piping 1000s of empty unauthorized artist links into google to lure folks here falsely (while simultaneously adding obstacles to all searches for legit artist info). SHAME! Well,…

  19. The tag I'm imagining would just take the YouTube video ID, and then create a full embed of the video in a mini-window, which could be accessed by clicking a second button independent of the normal video search button we already have. For instance...

Here's a nice multi-cam fan video of Nine Inch Nails performing Down In It in Philadelphia on 8/28/08: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMwjvCpXKB8

Now, let's say we want to add that video as a secondary video link to this setlist, with the same location and date: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/nine-inch-nails/2008/wachovia-spectrum-philadelphia-pa-3d6a907.html

In that case, the line in the setlist would look something like this:

  20. Instead of having one band's page link to another band that played that same concert (as it is right now, with the "related set lists"), or the main band having their supporting acts listed (as someone else suggested), there should be a main CONCERT page for every concert that lists all of the bands that played that night, their playing order, and maybe any other information related to the concert itself.

This could even lead the way to incorporating seating charts, and with that give users the ability to list where they sat.

As it is right now, it's very…
