  1. This would cover all solos, unknown instrumentals played. On song statistics it should come up as Instrumental, or maybe not come up at all, but in setlists it should come up as whatever you type following the @Instrumental.

    e.g. @Instrumental[Edward Van Halen Guitar Solo] , @Instrumental[Funk Jam]

  2. Would be nice to provide a syndication feed for artists. This way we can follow the tour, and be warned when a new setlist is posted.

  3. thought this could be an interesting idea for comparing setlists from a band you saw a few years ago to their setlist on their current tour or something, or comparing a show's setlist you saw with more current shows to see how they compare.. i dunno.

  6. Setlist.fm is a great website. I have a suggestion. A way to compare multiple set-lists on one page would be a very helpful function. This would be useful by enabling users to see how artists' set-lists changed over the course of a few dates or even a tour.

  7. It would be good if you could add yourself to a gig from the search results without having to click through to the page. I'm adding a lot of gigs at a time and its kind of a pain to have to click through every time.

  9. I don't know if I asking for something complicated. But could be nice to have a setlist.fm application for mobiles.

It could be something simple. A text editor with setlist.fm tags and able to post in the webpage. At least for start. Also to check the rest of the page setlists.

It would be extremely useful to post concerts when we are in them

  11. Would be great to allow users to keep track of bands/artists they'd like to see. Optionally, you could synch it up with Eventful and other event sites but at least let people manage a simple list of Acts and Concerts they'd like to see/attend/hear/rock out to

  12. Adding an @version tag, so that different versions of songs are listed under one name, but on the artist page are clickable so that people can see which version was played at a certain show. For example:

Incubus played their hit Drive in several forms: acoustic, a bass-driven remix, electric, piano-driven etc. If you would add it to a setlist with @version[bass remix] it would show up in the artist page as 'Drive', thus giving the songs the number of plays it deserves, instead of splitting it up or lumping it onto one pile. On the artist page, when clicked…

  14. I think we should consider restricting changes to artists, venues and dates. While there are some valid usecases for changing one of these attributes, changing more normally indicates a different gig, hence a new setlist.

    • Other date, other venue? Most likely another concert
    • Other artist, oder venue? Certainly another concert
    • Other date, other artist? Again, probably a different gig

Even changing one property could be restricted:

    • Other date? Probably postponed or simply entered wrong. There's rarley a reason to change it by more than a few days though.
    • Other aritst? Well, only makes sense for things like Dave Matthews Band…

  15. I'm getting annoyed by looking at statistics and seeing medleys. A medley should be indicated in the setlist, but the space-dash-space should indicate to divide the statistic so the song has it's own count. Making sense?

For example, Queen plays: Death on Two Legs / Killer Queen / Bicycle Race / I'm in Love With My Car. In the statistic you'll see just that, but I think each of the four songs should simply count toward it's own song rather than having the medley be the song.

  16. The database only allows you to view the average setlist feature for an artist based only on the tour or year. We should be able to see an average setlist for all the tours all throughout the years. It shouldn't be difficult because the average setlist feature works on Bob Dylan's Never Ending Tour which averages setlist ranging from 1989 to the present.

  17. I'd appreciate a feature that would enable me to make a Spotify playlist from a setlist.fm playlist. That way, if I see which songs a band is likely to play by viewing a recent concert, I can export them directly to Spotify.

    Useful!

  18. A great improvement would be for the original author of an edit or revert to have the ability to delete his/her edit or revert. In cases where an author doesn't enter the correct info the first time it would be better if the original author of the edit or revert can delete that edit or revert entry. In cases where the edit or revert is irrelevant this will tidy up the setlist page to only the relevant information.
