  2. I would like us to have the option to do setlists statics for only a few years, or a few tours.

For example, a band that has been around since the 80's, I wanna be able to see statics for only the last 5 years, or just the tours they did during the 80's and so on....

  3. The one thing that I would add to improve the effectiveness of your website is some sort of linking or mini-info about songs beside them when they are listed on a setlist from a show. Often people will go to a setlist and find songs that they do not know or covers that are not from a band or artist's repertoire. So, something like a YouTube video of the band playing the song, a link to buy it on iTunes, or even just an icon showing the album that the song is from, beside EACH song would be widely appreciated,…

  4. you can only query using a whole year or a tour name... sometimes it's not enough - you want to see the current band trend

  5. For example - in 2010 songs A & B were played 10 out of 20 times each - but B was played in the last 10 concerts, while A was in the first 10 of the query period.
it could be implemented using some kind of discrete derivation.
You can, instead of just taking a counter of the number of plays - do a weighted sum - for example, playing a song in the last concert would worth 2 points, song that was played in the one before it worth 1, 0.5 and so on (such that the sum of…

  8. It'd be great if setlists created on songkick.com could be added using the setlist.fm functionality, and be simultaneously added to setlist.fm. And vice versa (setlists added to songkick.com when created in setlist.fm).

    songkick.com aren't averse to the idea - see http://bit.ly/3JW3ki

  9. I tried to sum up all of the suggestions around the tour problem so here's the suggestion.

A tour section should be added where you could create or modify a tour.

Tour info would not be added when you add a new setlist but be defined by a range of dates.

    eg. "Tour #1 from 08-10-2008 to 12-12-2008"
or "Tour #2 from 01-01-2009 to 02-02-09 and continues from 03-03-2009 to 04-04-2009" (this would allow a break in the tour to support another band for exemple)

We could also add legs for each tour which would be interesting to separate for…

  10. I would love if there was an alternate way to view an artists' setlist which gave them as a list as opposed to the large bloated way they are shown now.

Something with a date column following the YYYY-MM-DD format would be great. I am primarily interested in working on the Amanda Palmer/Dresden Dolls setlists and I have information from so many shows that it will take forever and aside from searching for each individual show, there's no way to just see them all (unless I'm missing it).

  11. I googled a band I like & your site appeared high in the results, offering a link to this band's set lists, covers & more! But clicking it opened a page with no set lists, no info, ZERO content—totally empty except for the band's name up top in plain text (not even a frigging logo!) plus one lonely link (Band Lyrics) which opened some unrelated all-German site. I now suspect your site of piping 1000s of empty unauthorized artist links into google to lure folks here falsely (while simultaneously adding obstacles to all searches for legit artist info). SHAME! Well,…

  12. I recently modified the Tour info for Tool and it took ages...

    So here's my idea.
We could create a page for each tour in which you'd state begining and ending dates, this way all the shows between those dates would be automaticaly a part of it and no more need to modify every single show.

  13. There is already a page that shows all the artists & setlists that you are subscribed to:
    http://www.setlist.fm/notifications/leglessmoof

(I'm not proposing any changes to that page as I think it's fine now.)

It would be nice to have a page that displays all the notifications that were sent to you. Here is an example of what you might see on the page:

Embody updated "Arch Enemy Setlist Norway Rock Festival, Kvinesdal, Norway 2009, Summer Tyranny "
riazor updated "Pearl Jam Setlist Off Ramp Cafe, Seattle, WA 1990"
lilith wrote a new comment to "Metallica Setlist Optimus Alive Festival, Lisbon, Portugal…

  14. Rather than every edit appearing in a list under the setlist, it'd be tidier to hide them under one button. When clicked it'd reveal the list of edits. At the moment it looks very cluttered and comments about the concert become mixed up among the list of edits. I don't think it'd be so difficult to do.

  15. Would it be possible to add a suggest link button next to the artists links?

I think there should be a comprehensive list of official and unofficial links, as there are a lot of sites that cater for bands and never get plugged.

  17. The gig listing site http://www.5gig.com has an API. You could import gigs as you do with last.fm.

  18. Might be a nice idea to have an enhanced setlist that offers the songs album, release date/year etc. Maybe it could list the info next to or under the song, or when clicking/hovering on a song, or even on a separate page. All could be done automatically by database of course, so no additional info needed from the editor.

  19. On the artists statistics page - display statics on bands they have played alongside (same venue and date)

  20. Sometimes something very different happen during a song (http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/angra/2014/circo-voador-rio-de-janeiro-brazil-3bc0d494.html), or song has a lot o sinppets (http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/legiao-urbana/1990/estadio-palestra-italia-sao-paulo-brazil-1bc74de0.html) or snippets of songs have long names (or are from artistis with long names), and other situation; and as the Tag Info of the song is limited, there is no space to describe everything...
And so we have to use the Tag Info of the show to describe the details of the song...
