  1. Feature under a certain band/artist where it lists every song by that band/artist. Since some songs aren't played live and there are always a few songs people may not have known about before, so if there was a way to list every song ever like demos, covers, and anything else. Allow the same wiki format for everyone to perfect the lists and organize it. I have always wanted/ looked for lists of every song from a particular band

  2. It would be nice to be able to add lineups to concerts, and then it can be kept track of how many times an individual performed with the band.

  3. Setlist.fm is a great website. I have a suggestion. A way to compare multiple set-lists on one page would be a very helpful function. This would be useful by enabling users to see how artists' set-lists changed over the course of a few dates or even a tour.

  5. On the concert pages you can see all attendees and sometimes the same users pop up on various concerts I attended. I think it would be cool to get statistics for that. Like top 10 users that went to most of the concerts you went to. Maybe one could even meet at the next common show. I think of something like last.fm's neighbor function.

  6. Please add an entry field where one can optionally add the band members for a tour or a specific gig (incl. which instruments they played). That way it's easier to remember in which constellation or line-up you've seen a band, and you can also see if it was the band in standard mode or if certain session musicians joined the band...

  7. Display Attended Concert List in data grid, like excel, with sorting on each column, based on date, artist or venue.

Make the main listing column wider and add column to display:
Date, Artist, w/ opening artist, Venue, City.

Add Additional Notes below for shows like Lollapalooza where 5 or 6 acts were present as opposed to listing them as additional concerts

  8. Would be really nice if you could update or edit a setlist via an API call.

  9. For example - in 2010 songs A & B were played 10 out of 20 times each - but B was played in the last 10 concerts, while A was in the first 10 of the query period.
it could be implemented using some kind of discrete derivation.
You can, instead of just taking a counter of the number of plays - do a weighted sum - for example, playing a song in the last concert would worth 2 points, song that was played in the one before it worth 1, 0.5 and so on (such that the sum of…

  10. would be great to have an app on our phones which we could both use to simply look up set lists - but also while we are at concerts be able to create the setlist as the show is going. An app would be wonderful!

  11. I think that if like you went to the artist statistics and on it you could give a link the longest show they've ever played or shows that are tied and have the same amount as the biggest one.

  12. Currently shows that are listed under festivals don't get counted towards venues in the statistics page. It would be nice if the festival shows would be counted the same as a regular show.

  13. Might be a nice idea to have an enhanced setlist that offers the songs album, release date/year etc. Maybe it could list the info next to or under the song, or when clicking/hovering on a song, or even on a separate page. All could be done automatically by database of course, so no additional info needed from the editor.

  14. I think a checkbox by songs after you've clicked attended could be a good idea. For example, when I only see a band play half a set at a festival I don't add it to my profile as I didn't see all the songs. this could be a good way around that - we could untick songs we missed.

  16. Venues Change Names over the years due to new ownership, Sponcers, Remodels, etc... it would be nice to be able to group them together in stats since they are the same place! But keep the name of venue on the ticket at time of show on concert for archive purposes!

  17. Some concerts that ain't Festivals have an opening act by other(s) band(s), would be great if we could link or create an opening act for the concert.

  18. Well, for example, Pink Floyd's "Atom Heart Mother". It was performed numerous times before the album's release, it was then named "The Amazing Pudding". Should we put "The Amazing Pudding" in the setlist or should it be "Atom Heart Mother"?

if it’s the same song, it should be the same songname – with generally is how it’s named on the album. please read the comments in this thread for clarification

  19. The database only allows you to view the average setlist feature for an artist based only on the tour or year. We should be able to see an average setlist for all the tours all throughout the years. It shouldn't be difficult because the average setlist feature works on Bob Dylan's Never Ending Tour which averages setlist ranging from 1989 to the present.

  20. thought this could be an interesting idea for comparing setlists from a band you saw a few years ago to their setlist on their current tour or something, or comparing a show's setlist you saw with more current shows to see how they compare.. i dunno.
